A general election will be held on May 4, 2024, for the purpose of electing Town Council Places 1, 2, and 3. On Election Day, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The last day to register to vote in this election is April 4, 2024.

Following the election, the sitting Council will canvass the returns during a public meeting and the qualified person receiving the highest number of votes in each race will be sworn into office for a two-year term (through May 2026). Should a run-off become necessary, it shall be held on Saturday, June 15 (a date set by Tarrant County Elections).
Applications for a Place on the Ballot can be filed in the City Secretary's Office beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. The deadline to file is 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2024. There is no filing fee. All necessary documents can be obtained at townofpantego.com/candidate or by visiting Town Hall.
The City Secretary’s office is in Town Hall (1614 S Bowen Road) and office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The order of candidates' names on the ballot will be determined by a drawing, to be held Tuesday, February 20, at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall.
Please be aware that, upon receipt of your Application for a Place on the Ballot, the City Secretary is allotted five (5) days for review. If an omission or error is found after the filing deadline has passed, a new application cannot be accepted, and the original may not be valid. Candidates are urged to file as soon as practicable to allow sufficient time for review.
