Human Resources


The Human Resource function includes providing support to the Town and its departments and employees by ensuring compensation and benefits are compliant with federal and state laws and regulations and those of the Town.

As with other functions of the Town, Human Resources is a decentralized function whereby individual departments are responsible for the administration of the Employee Handbook policies and procedures, recruiting and selection of candidates, employee and organizational development and employee relations. In addition, individual departments have the responsibility of ensuring that the Town's human resource related business is conducted in a manner that is compliant with state and federal rules and regulations in areas such as recruiting, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), labor relations, classification and pay.

All employment and compensation with the Town is "at will" meaning that employment can be terminated with or without cause, and with or without notice, anytime, at the option of either the Town or the employee, except as otherwise provided by law.
