The filing period begins at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023; and the deadline is 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023. The City Secretary’s office is in Town Hall (1614 S Bowen Road) and office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. There is no filing fee and staff can notarize forms if you present proper identification. The order of names on the ballot for each place will be determined by a drawing, to be held Monday, February 27, at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall.

Required candidate forms are (1) Form CTA: Appointment of a Campaign Treasurer by a Candidate (PDF | CTA Instruction Guide); and (2) Application for a Place on the Ballot (PDF).

NOTE: Upon receipt of your Application for a Place on the Ballot, the City Secretary is allotted five (5) days to review. If an omission or error is found after the filing deadline has passed, a new application cannot be accepted, and the original may not be valid. Candidates are urged to file as soon as practicable to allow sufficient time for review. The Application can be filed along with Form CTA.
