You may request to take a Driving Safety Class by mail thirty days from the date your citation was issued. Your application will be forwarded to the Judge to determine eligibility for the program. You must pay the court costs and an administrative fee of $10 and submit proof of a current Texas drivers’ license and current proof of insurance.
If eligible, once proof of drivers’ license, proof of insurance and payment have been received, you will be required to submit to the court within 90 days, proof of having taken the Driving Safety Class and a copy of your driving record. You’ll be notified by mail of the date by which you are required to submit this proof.
A copy of your Driving Record must be requested from the Texas Department of Public Safety and costs $10. An online request can be made at:

If you are not eligible for Driving Safety Class you must enter your plea in person or by mail. If you enter your plea by mail you must use the back of the citation you were issued.
