Water and Wastewater Services
Pantego Water Utilities/Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and monitoring of the water and wastewater collection system which includes the maintenance of all water and wastewater mains, fire hydrants, valves, pumps, and motors. They read all water meters in the Town each month, provide re-checks and service connections and disconnections, repair water breaks, leaks, wastewater stops and perform preventive maintenance for all the above.
The Town's water supply is pumped from the Trinity and Puluxy Aquifers from six (6) wells located within the town. Water samples are collected and tested monthly from four different sampling sites throughout the town to ensure safe drinking water to all of the town's customers. Water conservation is of key importance especially during the dry summer months. The town has a drought contingency plan if the need should arise.
Wastewater is collected and pumped to the Cities of Fort Worth and Arlington for treatment.
TO REPORT A WATER BREAK OR A SEWER STOPPAGE PLEASE CALL 817-274-2511.
Animal Control
The public works department enforces the town's ordinances regarding unrestrained animals, vicious animals and nuisance animals. Unrestrained animals are ones that are not inside a fenced yard or cage or at the end of a leash or chain. Animals impounded are held for five (5) days at the City of Ft. Worth animal control center. After five days, the animal becomes the property of the City of Ft. Worth. The town has a few live traps for loan for the capture of wild and nuisance animals. It is the responsibility of the borrower to bait, set trap, and notify animal control of a captured animal.
If your animal is missing, please call 817-274-1381 and also visit the Arlington Animal Shelter.
The state law requires all animals to be vaccinated against rabies annually; the town requires all animals to be licensed. In order to do so, a copy of the rabies inoculations is required.
Street Repairs
The Public Works Department performs repair services for curbs and gutters, road potholes, sunken roadway areas and street signage. When possible, temporary repairs will be made, followed by permanent repair as soon as possible.
